What scripts can tell us about gender in the news

Here is a great little read if you can put up with a little bit of Nerd lingo. (Hint: Python is a scripting language not some rejected pet that you need to worry about climbing up your toilet drains *shiver*)

It takes a look at the popular phrases present over the course of a week in the New York Times in specific relation to gender. It may come as a surprise to some of the men out there who think everything is equal these days, but there’s still a fair amount of gender stereotyping in our major media platforms.

Have a read through the Verge, as they provide a nice little summary: read the source if you really feel like nerding out about research methodologies.
